Current work
I am based in workplaces all over Canterbury and regional South Island providing occupational health input. This ranges from leading rehabilitation to help a builder return to work following multi-trauma and surgery to spending time in trucks learning how to improve processes regarding lifting for workers. Other work scenarios include on farm with vets investigating ways to decrease pain and discomfort relating to repetitive tasks, to leading workshops for team leaders about manual handling and injury prevention and management. I have a special interest in manufacturing, production and rural workforce.
History of work
Previously I have worked in hospitals and private practice working in musculoskeletal settings (orthopaedic trauma and outpatients, rheumatology and the emergency department).
I have also worked in private practice work in clinics involving working with sports teams, post surgical rehabilitation, and general musculoskeletal practice including as a Pilates instructor.
