About me
|
Current work
I’m an experienced Occupational Health Physiotherapist, passionate about enhancing workforce health and performance across a wide range of industries. I work with businesses to optimise their teams by enabling workers to perform well at work and live well in life. This involves injury prevention and risk management, managing work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WRMSD), and promoting overall health and wellbeing.
My workplace-based approach ranges from analysing injury data to reduce costs and boost performance, to using wearable technology to assess the biomechanics of physical tasks in industries like veterinary services. I develop practical solutions to improve ergonomics and worker safety.
Whether I’m coordinating rehabilitation via telehealth for rural areas, running workshops on musculoskeletal risk management, or collaborating with engineers to reduce manual handling risks, my focus is always on practical, impactful solutions.
I believe in the power of worker engagement and a systems-based approach to improve health and performance. By providing clear, actionable information, I help teams implement positive changes that strengthen culture and collaboration.
I’m passionate about applying sports science principles in occupational health and regularly volunteer my physiotherapy skills in sports settings. Described as a positive, collaborative problem solver, I work closely with stakeholders to understand and meet their unique needs.
History of work
With over 24 years as a physiotherapist and 10 years specialising in occupational health, I’ve worked in hospital, private practice, and musculoskeletal settings, including orthopaedic trauma, sports teams, post-surgical rehabilitation, and rheumatology.
